Yves Bergquist is a data scientist and competitive strategist who loves to solve complex problems through the joint application of systems thinking and machine learning. He is currently focused on applying AI and machine learning to audience measurement and segmentation.

He is a quant and strategist looking at business, technology and societal problems through both quantitative and qualitative lenses. He was part of the founding team at Singularity University, a partnership between NASA and Google, which aims to "assemble, educate and inspire a cadre of leaders to understand the development of exponentially advancing technologies."

Dr. Goertzel is an AI researcher, mathematician, author and entrepreneur. He introduced the term "Artificial General Intelligence" and has been the leading advocate of the concept and development of AGI. He is the founder and leader of the open-source OpenCog AGI project, and serves as Chief Scientist of Hanson Robotics; Chairman of Novamente LLC and iCog Labs; Chair of the Artificial General Intelligence Society and the OpenCog Foundation; Vice Chair of Humanity+ and advisor to numerous organizations including Singularity University and Genescient Corp. Previous university faculty positions include University of Nevada, City University of New York, University of Waikato and the University of Western Australia. Currently based in Hong Kong and Addis Ababa, he received a Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1989 from Temple University.
